Ramadan TV is an internet-based television network; bringing you entertaining, insightful and informative videos for Muslims today.
The Ramadan TV team consists of a group of young volunteers from different backgrounds which provides a realistic understanding of the diversity among Muslims and to produce exciting content that will be interesting to a variety of people.
Meet the Team…
Ibrahim Killington – Editor
Ibrahim Killington is a 22 year old who comes from Norfolk and is of white British parentage. Ibrahim converted to Islam shortly after Ramadan last year and has immersed himself entirely in the Norwich Muslim Community’s activities.
He currently is training to become an editor by doing an on the job training program. Ibrahim studied Media at college for one year but has realised that the state education system does not teach the practical knowledge needed in a work environment.
Khadijah Carberry – Co-Producer
Khadijah Carberry is 19 years old and currently lives in Burton-on-Trent, a town in the East Midlands and is of Guyanese parentage. She is about to start studying for her A-Levels at her local college in the new term.
Khadijah is a productive and creative individual who is able to lend clear insight and advice to her team members. She is a Producer alongside Adil and ensures that everything runs smoothly.
Junaid Ibn Ahmed – Webmaster
Junaid Ibn Ahmed is 16, comes from Birmingham and is of mixed race background with English and Maldivian parentage. He recently completed his GCSEs and hopes to attend a madrassa in Mallorca where he can memorise the Qur’an and learn Arabic. He enjoys listening to music and is a recreational Spoken-Word Poet.
Junaid is an open minded individual who enjoys challenges and being a productive young person. His expertise lies in Graphic Design and he is the Webmaster for Ramadan TV. He also is able to contribute fresh ideas as a young person that would appeal to young people particularly from an urban setting.
Hashim Perez – Promoter
Hashim Perez is 23 years old and comes from a Spanish and Morrocan background, he was born and raised in Granada, he lived in Cape Town, South Africa, and currently resides in Norwich.
He is a highly motivated individual who is currently working on an apprenticeship basis where he works from day to day and learns from the tasks that he is set. He is currently learning the necessary skills needed to administrate websites and to be a Personal Assistant. Hashim’s skills include a very good understanding of how to use social media for marketing purposes and the ability to make contacts that allow him easy access to various circles of young Muslims.
Adil Morrison – Co-Producer
Adil Morrison is 21 year old modern languages undergrad studying in London. Learning and speaking a number of languages has given him the ability to communicate well with others, both verbally and in writing. His hobbies include listening to music (both live and recorded), reading and watching television shows.
Adil spent two years living in a number of German cities. Living abroad has made it easy for him to adjust quickly to new environments and circumstances, such as being thrown in at the deep end, getting to grips with the task and getting the job done.
